If I'm dead, you'll know why

So I have decided that if there was such a being as god of nutrition, the lightning would definitely strike me...I would be dead at this very moment.

As I was worming up Corn dogs (fat, curbs, and heavens knows what else in that) for my kids, I start thinking what they had for breakfast? hmm...Coco puffs...sugar, yam!

Then my mind drifted to last night....lets see what did I cook for my little darlings?.....Ramen noodles...curbs, sodium, and fat. What did they have for lunch yesterday, you would ask......Chicken nuggets. What else do I need to do to see the lightning comming?

Today is my best friend's Birthday and I want to shout out a few reasons why I love this guys so much:

Hailey update

So far Hailey has been the STARTING point guard for ALL of the girls High School VARISTY basketball games this year. (The North Central Indians) With no starters returning from last year, they arent expected to be a playoff contending team, but Hailey is enjoying the experience her Freshman year, and in last nights game started started feeling more comfortable as she was one of her teams top scorers with 10 pts.. (two 3-pointers) She has work outs and practices every day and is still maintaining great grades in honor classes! She'll be down to visit on the 27th, and leaving on the 3rd (she'll be racing home to get off the plane and get to another practice that night)

1. Got box of Russian sweets from my mom and have totally pigged out. Had Visit.Teachers over, Had my Diet Coke fix, Babysat for my neighbor, made diner, and last but not the list.....I made my kids tickle my feet and my back (that was so awesome, bless their little hearts, I sooo took advantage of them)

6 things I am looking forward to:

1. Not worry about money, our next baby, seeing my mom and my brother sometime soon, being skinny....whom am I kidding? Having my sewing biz going the way I would like it too; and last...though, I am not looking forward getting old...I am looking forward growing old with Troy.

6 things on my wish list:

My mom living near by; Hailey always being with us; Getting fit; Having twins; Always be good example for my kids; Be with my family forever.

The way I feel most of the days!!!

Just went on Heidi's blog and before I could read on I had to copy this picture and post it on my blog(hope you don't mind, Heidi). This describes so well, how I feel sooo many days of my life.
I have been thinking that maybe I need to write down all that I want and need to do and then just start going down that list....but then I feel that my list will just keep on adding on...anyone has a solution to my madness?

OK....I just watched this show about what is considered beautiful in other countries, get this...in South-West Africa-Mauritania if you want to be desirable by men you must:

1. Be FAT, very FAT

2. Have THICK ANKLES

3. STRETCH MARKS. It is signs of beauty marks

4. DIVORCED. The more divorces you had the more attractive you are. It tells men that you must be very desirable for other men to marry you over and over again.

And get this... yes, women are expected to be fat, BUT men are expected to be thin.

So, if you ever run into someone who is fat, has thick ankles, stretch marks, and divorced...there is a place for such a girl...Mauritania...a place where she will be desirable by all men.

"Stop and smell the roses"

As I was preparing lesson for my YW class, I have come across this talk by President Monson.
It has moved me to tears as I have read and felt how much I can use his counsel. Here is the sample of his talk....and the pictures of some of my messes in life for which I am SO grateful (though at times I was far from a gratitude) President Monson talk inspired me just not to worry so much.
"Many years ago, Arthur Gordon wrote in a national magazine, and I quote:
“When I was around thirteen and my brother ten, Father had promised to take us to the circus. But at lunchtime there was a phone call; some urgent business required his attention downtown. We braced ourselves for disappointment. Then we heard him say [into the phone], ‘No, I won’t be down. It’ll have to wait.’
“When he came back to the table, Mother smiled. ‘The circus keeps coming back, you know,’ [she said.]
“‘I know,’ said Father. ‘But childhood doesn’t.’”
If you have children who are grown and gone, in all likelihood you have occasionally felt pangs of loss and the recognition that you didn’t appreciate that time of life as much as you should have. Of course, there is no going back, but only forward. Of course, this are so few of them that I will treasure, and so many that will only remain in my memory ( like the day after I finished painting my whole house, and two of my kids decided it was fun to draw pictures on the walls. Or the day I have found Rylee on the top of the counter top dumping EVERYTHING on Drew who was amazed by how much fun sugar, flower, rice, pasta, salt, etc, etc, etc, can be, when it showers you. (oh, how I wish I took pictures of that mess. I was so mad, I had to go to my room and call Troy, so he can calm me down). Or the day when Drew had new church clothes and 10 min. before we were going to go to church, he walked from a back yard sooooo happy, because he was wrestling dog....and yes, his clothes were far from looking new or wearable for church) I'm sure I can come up with so many, and the truth is...looking back I smile, and I love those memories. So why do I get so worked up when it happens?

I saw it!!

Oh, it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!!!!!
SO go and see it. Though, I did think, that if you haven't read the books, you probably wont enjoy or get the characters as much as you will if you have read the books. It was almost like you could "read between the lines" or I should say "see between the shots".
On the side of a 35 year old, I thought, I died and went back in Junior/high school as I walked at 12 am in the middle of 13 showing rooms (all showing Twilight) theater. I don't think i have ever been around that many teenagers at once.( well, girls camp) It was quite entertaining in its own.

Tonight!!!!! I can hardly wait!!!

Wholesale fabric

Hey everyone,

As some of you may know I have recently started sew....and at this time looking into buying fabric at wholesale prices....the problem I'm running into is that wholesale places make you buy six bolts with your first order (15 yards are one bolt at $4.50/yrd) I know I can sell it at great price and make money just at that, but it is still the upfront cost that is a stumbling block for me.

Soooooo, I was thinking...I know many of you do sew and pay retail, what if several of us get together, decide on the colors and brands of the fabric, and share it. I will have to get tax ID# to buy it, which is not a problem.

Anyway, I just want to put it out there and see if any of you may be interested and if so please let me know how much yards you will be interested in purchasing, so I can kind of see if this will work.

Halo's Birthday

I can't believe it's been almost a year sense Troy have brought Halo home on Christmas morning. What a joy that was!!! (though, I wasn't very joyful until he got potty trained)

His Birthday was on November 3rd and....call us crazy, but we had a little birthday party for him.

Cake: canned dog food (we never buy it, it gives him horrible gas, but boy does he loves it) and bacon bits(dog kind) . We had blue candle on the midle and were trying very hard to have him blow it out, after we all have song Happy Birthday to Halo....

Present: a walk in the park, and chewing, cleaning teeth thing (whatever it's called)

Guessed: our neighbors: Dan and Kellie, proud owners of their 4 legged son, Max.

Max and Halo have been friends from the time they have been 8 weeks or so....Good Budd's!!!

Anyway, here some pictures. (I couldn't find them, I think they are on Troy's cell. I will have to post them tonight)

So, I felt like I have totally missed out on part of her big events of life.....not fair....I wish I was there to see it all.

I am proud though, to see that she is the only one who is not wearing sleeveless dress....

He lives!!!

This Sunday Drew had primary lesson on the "last supper". As I got him from his class, I could tell that something was on his mind and no sooner then the door to the car closed, than Drew climbed up on my lap and start hysterically sobbing.....
"What's the matter, honey?" I said
"Mom......Jesus is dead! He really is. They killed him!"
"Oh, honey.....(I just held him so very tight and sobbed with my little guy)
"Oh, honey, but He lives!!!" I said.
"Do you know why He died?" I said
"No."
"So that you and I can live with Him again"
"You see, where Father lives is very clean and pure. And when we make bad choices, that makes us kind of dirty inside and we can't go back and be with Jesus and Heavenly Father. But Jesus came and took all of the sins or mistakes that we make and died with them, so that if we choose to believe in what Jesus taught us and do what He asks us to do, then we can be clean and able to one day come to our Heavenly Fathers Kingdom and live with Him and Jesus."
Drew was still sobbing......
"Honey, do you want to say a prayer so that you can feel in your heart that Jesus is alive?" I asked
He nodded.... Still holding him tight in my arms I sobbed my little heart out to our Father in plea that my little guy will know of this great truth and be comforted.
We got home and watched "He is Rison". There is a little boy in the story that I think Drew saw himself in and could relate the sadness that that little boy felt....But then the miracle of Resurrection......
He turned to me with his big eyes and amazement in his voice, he proclaimed ,"Mom, you right, He lives, He does. Jesus is alive!!!!

"How grateful I am for the little ones...for the primary lesson....for the Spirit that guided me as a mother and most of all for my Savior! In deed He lives and I was testified of it this Sunday, as my little guy was gaining his first testimony.

Though there isn't much there yet. I have made pillows for Fall and Asian looking pillow set. I got great deal on the fabric and couldn't resist myself from not making it.....though it's not my fav items...

Kids sleepover

The kids had some of their friends over for a sleepover last night. We have set up tent in Rylee's room and all 6 of them climbed in and I'm guessing had a good time...
This morning, being the great mommy, that I am, I went and got some chocolate chips and cream whip to make some sweet and very unhealthy pancakes.....(they actually were wheat....so not completely unhealthy)
Anywhoooo....I saw this candy at Ream's, those are REAL SCORPIONS!!!! I guess, they were farm grown for human consumption ( can't imagine who would want to eat those? ) So, they were skinned and the pincher was taking out...Store also had candy with worms in them....that made my stomach squirmy....
Boys thought this candy was the greatest thing ever created....

O.K. so some of you know and some don't....but I do like to sow....and just resently started to sow & sell some things. Look what I made for Rylee's booster seat....I'm sooooo exsited....

So as I am folding laundry this morning I was listening to the KBYU and Richard G. Scott was talking on importance of a strong testimony....the things he chose to share were seemed to speak to me and I have a desire to share with those of you who are interested to read.....

Camping

This past weekend we went camping with Tuttles. Dan, the mountain man that he is, has found a wonderful spot for us. We were high in the mountains and a way from everything. Halo and Max were able to run free and get themselves into all kinds of crazy stuff. They were happy dogs!!!

Kids LOVED it as well and are excited to do it again. For me.....well, it was fun until I had to go to sleep but couldn't .....I was freezing all night and all my bones ached like crazy....I'm getting old....

Anyway, Troy and I are motivated to shop for some worm sleeping bags and blow up mattress for our old body's.....
